vToken soft token is a compact software application that can be delivered to the user’s existing mobile device so that all users, regardless of location, cell coverage, or handset type can easily generate a one-time password.
vToken generates an OTP that changes each time a user logs into the Internet Banking service or performs a monetary transaction. vToken itself is protected by an access code. NSys’ product is unique in that it can store multiple secret credentials, eliminating the need to carry multiple hard tokens. NSys has developed low-cost products to address the strong authentication needs of Financial Institutions wishing to roll out retail Internet Banking services.
For example, if a user subscribes to two or more Internet Banking services, the user need only select the desired Financial Institution and vToken will generate the corresponding OTP.
Users may gain access to the enterprise servers via multiple delivery channels. vToken is delivery channel agnostic and does not require any client side driver downloads. vToken has therefore a zero footprint characteristic. Once the vToken Authentication Server successfully authenticates the user via the OTP generated by vToken, the user is then granted access to the application servers and the corresponding enterprise data sources.
