Noriswadi Ismail graduated with LLB (Hons)
International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and
LLM in Information Technology & Telecommunications
Law from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United
Kingdom as a British Chevening Scholar. Currently the
Group General Counsel / Company Secretary, Vice
President of Corporate Services, HeiTech Padu Berhad.
Called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor
in 2001, a registered Trade Mark and Patent Agent in
Malaysia. He leads the corporate advisory, regulatory
compliance, risk management and intellectual property
rights portfolio of the Group and its subsidiaries.
In June 2006, he was awarded the Association Technical
Overseas Scholarship by the Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry of Japan, Japan Institute of Invention
and Innovation and Japan Patent Office attending
the prestigious Intellectual Property Rights training
for lawyers in Tokyo. He sits as Secretary on the
Management Committee and is Secretary for all Board
Committees of HeiTech Padu Berhad. Besides his main
portfolio, he is actively involved with continued research
interest in interdisciplinary technology laws, intellectual
property and public policy for Malaysia’s ICT
stakeholders. A frequent speaker of Asia Business
Forum and speaks occasionally in London, Glasgow and
Istanbul on emerging issues of IP, RFID, data protection
and privacy. At times, he is a guest lecturer on Intellectual
Property in emerging technologies at his Alma matter,
Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM. |
