Independent Non-Executive Director. Started career in the Malaysian Civil Service as Assistant Director in the Public Service Department in 1973. Served in the National Bureau of Investigation, National Institute of Public Administration and Petroleum Development Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department before being appointed as the Deputy Budget Director in the Ministry of Finance in 1995. Appointed as Director General of Federal Agriculture Marketing Authority (FAMA) in 1998 and subsequently as Secretary General at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrobased Industry from 2001 until retirement in 2006.

Appointed as a Director of HeiTech Padu Berhad on 17 October 2006. Serves as a Member of the Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Employee Share Option Scheme (ESOS) Committee. Currently, he is the Chairman of Lembaga Tabung Haji Malaysia, Lembaga Koko Malaysia, Platinum Energy Sdn. Bhd. and Konsortium Perikanan Nasional Berhad respectively.

Attended five (5) Board Meetings held during the financial year 2007. No family relationship with any Director and/or major shareholders of HeiTech Padu Berhad. No conflict of interest with HeiTech Padu Berhad. No conviction for any offence within the past ten (10) years other than traffic offences.
